Urban Decay: Alice in Wonderland

AD694684-F1D6-4CB1-A611-1AA90D0AD6C2Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland eyeshadow palette- Inspired by the Movie Alice Through the Looking Glass.

From Urban Decay’s product description:

When Disney asked us to jump down the rabbit hole with them again and collaborate on an all-new spectacular adventure, of course we said yes. Inspired by the new fantasy-adventure film release of Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass, this limited-edition, pop-up palette is a trippy tribute to our favourite characters from the film.

Using the visually stunning Alice Through the Looking Glass as our inspiration, we painstakingly created the perfect mix of 20 ALL-NEW shades, then arranged them all in columns by character and put them in an intricately designed, collectible palette. Match up the columns to steal their looks or mix up these shades to create countless others. From softer shades inspired by Alice’s look in the film to bold, bright shades like those seen on the Mad Hatter, it’s all here.

The shadows are designed and organised by character, so Alice’s include a pretty pink and a pinafore blue, whereas the White Queen’s are pale and interesting, and the Mad Hatter’s bright orange and purple and puce and viridian.

This palette features colourful, kaleidoscopic artwork woven out of flowers and butterflies and includes several of our favourite quotes from the film. Hits of embossing and gloss give the palette a luxe, dimensional feel. When you lift the lid and open up the doors inside, a three-dimensional butterfly springs up. Pull open the palette’s drawer to reveal the shadows, which are arranged by character in columns from left to right: Alice, Mad Hatter, Mirana (the White Queen), Iracebeth (the Red Queen) and Time (a peculiar creature who is part human, part clock).

What you get:

Alice: Looking Glass (pale pink demi-matte), Reflection (soft peach matte), Dormouse (warm brown matte w/ floating gold micro-sparkle) and Metamorphosis (vibrant periwinkle blue w/micro-sparkle).

Mad Hatter: Hatter (vibrant green w/tonal micro-sparkle), Gone Mad (aubergine w/pink iridescent pearl), Paradox (vibrant orange w/gold pearl) and Cake (saturated blue-pink w/silver micro-shimmer).

Mirana: Lily (opal pink pearl), Duchess (peach w/pink shift and micro-sparkle), Kingdom (copper-bronze pearl) and Chessboard (medium brown matte).

Iracebeth: Heads Will Roll (vibrant turquoise w/gold micro-sparkle), Bandersnatch (deep teal matte), Salazen Grum (metallic crimson) and Royal Flush (pale beige shimmer).

Time: Time (black-navy satin w/soft iridescent micro-sparkle), Dream On (metallic purple-silver), Chronosphere (metallic deep bronze) and Mirror (gray-taupe satin).

The box is really pretty, but not terribly practical (who really cares!).The shadows are in a drawer that takes up the bottom half of the box. The top half is decorative, with a pop up butterfly hidden behind double doors. There is a mirror though…
Pretty much out of stock at the moment, but pops up on amazon.
