Illustrated by John Tenniel, the great-nephew of his namesake who illustrated the original Lewis Carroll books.
Lots of black and white illustrations in the text and 4 colour plates.
Published by W. Foulsham & Co. Ltd., 1952ish. At least, that’s the date of the handwritten dedication inside.
Hardback, no dustjacket.
The adventures of Alice’s fictional great-grand-daughter, also named Alice, and the dragon Dragaloo.
Alice in Starland was illustrated by my father, Adrian John Tenniel Lovegrove. If you need any further images of the illustrations please do ask and I can send them to you.
How interesting! Two Alices and two illustrators with almost the same name! I would like to know more about Adrien John Tenniel Lovegrove. I am a big fan of Lewis Carroll and have more than one hundred Alice’s books (editions in different languages and with pictures by various artists). I live in Ukraine and have now a very limited possibility to buy new books(most sellers don’t send books to my country). More images to this mysterious edition are beyond my expectations/ Please, write me mr.sesyuk@gmail.com
