Alice Threw the Looking Glass

Alice Threw the Looking Glass by James Roberts White, in Three Way Plays.

Hardback, no illustrations.

Published by Harper & Brothers 1944.

One for the obsessives only: a book of royalty free, one act plays suitable for staging, being read as ‘radio plays’, or for use in drama classes or try-outs: hence ‘three way’. The first play in the collection is an Alice themed story.

Picked up on abebooks for around a fiver, mine is an ex- library copy, complete with the old ticket and labels: Central Library, Bancroft Road E1. Which coincidentally was a haunt of mine when I used to work in the Mile End Hospital on the same road. Small world.
