Mabel Lucie Attwell

Alice in Wonderland, illustrated by Mabel Lucie Attwell.

The Treasure House Library, published by Raphael Tuck and Sons Ltd.

Hardback with illustrated boards. No dust jacket.

Dedication on flyleaf dated 1930.

Lots of charming line drawings, and 5 colour plates.: I think there should be 6 but it’s a really tatty copy and I suspect one have fallen out.

I think this was bought on ebay, but I do tend to lose track.

I have been looking at my copy of Shakespeare stories for children given to me in 1953 by my parents . They scratched out the earlier names and date and put mine instead as they had found it probably in Camden market on the second hand stall.
I have only recently noticed the other titles published and would like to find more. What sort of price would I have to pay?

I’m sorry: I’m a microbiologist not a bookseller, so I have no idea! You could try a search on abebooks: that should give you an idea of what they sell for.
